Change the Game Academy aims to change the ‘rules’ of the development game: transferring power to communities and enabling them to shape their own future. Many civil society organisations in the Global South depend on foreign funding to do their work, which makes them vulnerable and puts them at risk of working donor-driven.

Change the Game Academy aims to end this dependency by supporting autonomous local organisations to strengthen their fundraising capacity.

We were established in 1993 and since 2002 have been proudly headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa, with additional hubs across the globe. We are a membership alliance with more than 15,000 members in more than 175 countries.

The Dramatists Guild Foundation is a non-profit organization supporting writers at all stages of their career by offering financial support, educational resources, writing space, and more. We strive to be a resource to writers nationwide and nurture the future of American theater. DGF fosters playwrights, composers, lyricists, and librettists at all stages of their careers. DGF sponsors educational programs; provides awards, grants, and stipends; offers free space to create new works; and gives emergency aid to writers in need of immediate support. By supporting and nurturing the creators of today, we protect the stories of tomorrow.

Throughout our 50 years of history, ICCO has had remarkable experiences in working together with local partners for community welfare and development. Our development solutions center around our twin core principle of sustainable livelihoods and dignity and by linking our two core principles we aim to achieve sustainable solutions for the target communities we work for, primarily women, children and marginalized and excluded communities.

Advocacy priorities at Forus are mostly focused on enabling environments for CSOs, the monitoring and implementation of the SDGs as well as democracy and good governance. Thanks to collaboration with local NGOs, humanitarian organizations and grassroots as well as mainstream media platforms, our messages are being amplified.

Wilde Ganzen means ‘Wilde Geese’ in Dutch. The Danish theologian-philosopher Søren Kierkegaard once described a wild goose that teaches a pair of tame geese to fly again. These tame geese had forgotten how. In his parable, Kierkegaard depicts wild geese to stick out their necks and take initiative. Flying in V-formation, they work closely together so they can meet great challenges. As this was such a fitting metaphor, the name of the organization was based on this story.

On 30 June 1957 the very first Wilde Ganzen fundraiser took place: an appeal for donations for the victims of the earthquake disaster in Turkey a few months earlier. The action raised 76 Euros. A modest sum compared to what we raise nowadays.
